Exploring Play Dough
Welcome to day 7 of the 30 Days to Transform your Play Series from
An EverydayStory & Racheous - Loveable Learning
Playdough is a very important part of our play. Monster and Baby Bear are very interested in playdough. Monster is moving away from the shear sensory nature of playdough and beginning to construct, create, and build with the medium. Baby Bear is all about eating it ... yuck!
I decided that during a playdate she would actually make the dough. This was a huge hit and will become a weekly event until we need to switch it up again. I have been gathering the items suggested in the post (click on day 7 above for the link). We gathered some pinecones, twigs, pine needles, and will creating some coins from some larger twigs that we discovered. I am excited to see what happens with these new additions to our playdough routine. This series is laid out in a 30 day format but remember that it is important to follow your child(ren)'s pace. I think we've once again found a sweet spot with playdough.
